Head of the Prisoners’ Committee in Sana’a, Abdulqadir Al-Murtadha, said on Friday that the Saudi-led coalition factions in Ma’rib province foiled the agreed-upon prison visits, which were scheduled to start Saturday, May 20.

In a posting on his Twitter account, Al-Murtadha stated that Sana’a was ready to carry out the prison visit tomorrow, Saturday, as planned, but was startled by the preconditions placed by pro-coalition factions in Ma’rib, which forced the visits to be postponed indefinitely.

He saw these actions as a blatant attempt to derail the visit agreement and consequently the next round of negotiations.

Al-Murtadha called on the United Nations to put an end to this obstruction and oblige all parties to sign and execute the agreement.
