An official source in the Sana’a governorate denied allegations made by Saudi-led coalition media reports. The reports claim that there are secret prisons in the governorate belonging to the governor and the director of his office.
The source confirmed in a statement obtained by the Yemeni news agency (Saba), that Sana’a governorate, like other governorates under the leadership of the Supreme Political Council, is governed by law and order. Security services in the governorate play their role in ensuring security, public tranquility, and crime reduction in accordance with the constitution, laws and regulations in force.
The source called on everyone to investigate the report’s credibility and not be drawn into rumors and lies created by pro-coalition media.
