FAO expects floods in Yemen next week

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) expected floods in Yemen next week.

The organization warned of the danger of floods expected in Yemen during the next week, which may affect about 5,800 people in different parts of the country.

In its Agricultural Meteorological Early Warning Bulletin, the organization expected heavy rains at highlands, which would increase the risk of flooding, and would affect more than 1,000 people in the torrential rains in the Tuban basin (Lahj, Al-Dhalea, Ibb),

More than 600 in Wadi Bana Basin (Abyan, Lahj, Al-Dhalea), more than 500 in Wadi Haradh Basin (Saada, Hajjah), more than 800 in Wadi Moore (Hajjah, Al-Hudaydah), more than 400 in Wadi Sardoud (Al-Mahweet, Sana’a).

More than 700 in the Wadi Siham basin (Sana’a, Raymah, Al Hudaydah), more than 300 in Raymah (Raymah, Dhamar) and more than 1,500 in the Wadi Zabid basin (Al Hudaydah, Dhamar, Ibb).
