YPC in Sana’a announces cut in fuel prices

The Yemen Petroleum Company (YPC) in Sana’a announced on Friday that the actual cost of fuel in the liberated areas would be reduced as of tomorrow, Saturday, June 17.

The official spokesman for the company, Essam Al-Mutawakel, said that after calculating the actual cost of the fuel ships that arrived at the port of Hodeida, the cost of fuel starting from tomorrow morning would be 9,000 riyals for a 20-liter gallon of gasoline instead of 9,500 riyals, and 9,000 riyals for a 20-liter gallon of diesel instead of 1,000 riyals.

Al-Mutawakel confirmed that the calculation is affected by the decrease or increase in the actual fuel costs.

He called on local and foreign companies to compete for the supply of oil derivatives.

Al-Mutawakel pointed out that the supply of oil derivatives is available to all local and foreign companies and the conditions for their supply are on the pages of official website of the company.
