The head of the national negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, made new statements on Saturday regarding the process of unloading the crude oil reservoir “Safer” to the new ship “Al-Yemen”.
“In conjunction with the unloading of the Safer ship, we express our thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the Sultanate of Oman for the facilities and support it provided to reach an agreement to replace the Safer ship and unload it to the new ship,” Abdulslalam said in a tweet on his account on Twitter.
Last Tuesday, Sana’a announced the start of the process of pumping crude oil from the ship Safer to the alternative ship “Al-Yemen.”
The United Nations announced today, Saturday, the unloading of nearly a quarter of the Safer oil tank load during the first three days, according to a statement by the United Nations Development Program in Yemen.
The rescue teams were able to safely transfer 223 thousand barrels of crude oil to the replacement ship out of more than one million barrels of oil from the giant tanker Safer, according to the United Nations.
