Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sana’a government, Hussein Al-Ezzi, confirmed that the Saudi-led aggression coalition has not gone beyond the steps of talking about peace.
“Sana’a’s demands are easy if there is seriousness to move towards peace,”he added.
According to Al Masirah TV, Al-Ezzi said that talking about peace in light of the siege is provocative, pointing out that the rebuilding of trust can only be accomplished by achieving a breakthrough in the humanitarian situation.
“Yemenis need to establish new demands for peace,” he explained. “What the ggression coalition adheres to are demands for surrender, not starting points for peace.”
Regarding salaries, Al-Ezzi said that the salary situation is essential and sensitive to building confidence and entering into an atmosphere of peace, hinting at going towards other options if the delay in disbursing salaries continues.
He said that lack of additional flights to the only destination from Sana’a airport is a distasteful step that reflects the coalition’s unwillingness for peace and confidence-building.
Al-Ezzi said that the patience shown high degree of self-restraint shown by Sana’a reflects the high methodology that the leadership has in leaving war options as the last resort.
“America does not want to stop the war on Yemen and other international parties still have negative roles in terms of dealing and describing the situation in Yemen,” he emphasized.
