Five members of the UAE-backed Transitional Council were killed and wounded, as a result of a new attack by Al-Qaeda, which is supported by the Islah Party, in Abyan Governorate, southern Yemen.
Sources said that (al-Qaeda) targeted a group of support forces with an explosive device in the village of Kawkab in the Mudiya district, east of Abyan.
Confirming the killing of a recruit, wounding 4, and destroying the crew in the targeting.
The transitional forces, with their various formations, are suffering from a war of attrition waged by the Islah party under the cover of (Al-Qaeda) in Abyan governorate, since the Council announced the implementation of Operation Arrows of the East to tighten its control over the governorate.
