Yemeni fishermen returned to Hodeidah Governorate, west of the country, after months of arbitrary detention and torture in the prisons of the Eritrean authorities.
Local sources in the governorate reported that the Eritrean authorities released ten Yemeni fishermen yesterday evening while hundreds of them are still languishing under torture in Eritrean prisons.
A source in the Ministry of Fisheries called on the international community and humanitarian organizations to play their role and stop the crimes of kidnapping, torture and violations committed by the Eritrean authorities.
