The Yemeni Parliament Speaker, Yahya Ali al-Ra’i, called on the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, not to allow US-Saudi mercenaries to represent Yemen in meetings and gatherings held by the United Nations.
This came in a message sent to Guterres, Sunday, from the capital, Sana’a. Al-Ra’i confirmed that the mercenaries of the aggression had committed the crime of violating the constitution and high treason, neglecting the capabilities of the Yemeni people and plundering their wealth.
He regretted that the United Nations ignores everything that is happening in Yemen, and continues to stand idly by towards the injustice that the people of Yemen have been exposed to for nearly nine years.
He pointed out that the United Nations thus abandoned its humanitarian responsibilities towards the suffering of the Yemeni people, and even did not work to end the aggression and blockade and fully open Yemeni airports and ports.
Al-Ra’i called on the Secretary-General of the United Nations to investigate the truth, stop bias towards the coalition of aggression and its tools, and take decisive and firm stances on humanitarian issues.
