Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Affairs and President of the Supreme Security Committee Lieut. Gen. Jalal al-Ruwaishan on Thursday sent a telegram of congratulations to leader of the revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and President and members of the Supreme Political Council on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of the September 21 Revolution and the 61st of the September 26 Revolution.
Al-Ruwaishan expressed his best congratulations and heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the holidays of the September 21 and September 26 revolutions.
He said “We celebrate this great national occasion and our people who adhere to their right to defend themselves from the arrogance of aggression embody the values of liberation and national principles carried by the heroes of the army, including the Yemeni people, rejecting submission, humiliation, and surrender to the forces of invasion and occupation.”
He added “The Yemeni people believe in the justice of their causes and yearn for freedom, getting rid of hegemony, and building a modern civil state based on justice, equality, and the rule of law. They are willing to sacrifice for the sake of these principles until they are achieved or perish without them.”
Al-Ruwaishan pointed out that the glorious September 21 revolution is a revolution against foreign guardianship and hegemony and the restoration of the Yemeni people’s right to independence and sovereignty.
He stressed that the two revolutions combined are the epitome of the struggles of the Yemeni people, stressing that members of the armed and security forces will not deviate from the goals of the revolution and the sacrifices made for the sake of the pride and elevation of the homeland.
