President Al-Mashat opens project to establish oncology treatment center in Hodeidah

Mahdi Al-Mashat, Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, laid on Sunday, in Hodeida province, the cornerstone of the project to establish the Great Messenger Center for the treatment and surgery of tumors.

After laying the foundation stone in the presence of the Prime Minister of the National Salvation Government, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, the Minister of Finance, Dr. Rashid Abu Lahoum, the Minister of Services and Development, Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, and the Governor of Hodeida, Muhammad Qahim, President Al-Mashat launched work on the project to establish the center at a cost of 15 million and 100 thousand dollars for the first phase, funded and supervised by the Cancer Control Fund.

President Al-Mashat directed the speedy implementation of the project, which will serve the people of the province and neighboring governorates, indicating that establishing a center for oncology treatment and surgery in Hodeidah comes within the priority plan to combat this disease.

The laying of the foundation stone was attended by the Commander of the Fifth Military Region, Major General Youssef Al-Madani, the Minister of Electricity, Dr. Muhammad Al-Bukhaiti, the Chairman of the General Authority for Zakat, Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nashtan, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Nasr Al-Din Amer, the Chairman of the Rural Water Authority, Adel Bader, and the First Undersecretary of the Governorate, Ahmed Al-Bishri.
