Factions loyal to the UAE carried out a new deployment on the outskirts of the stronghold of the pro-Saudi factions in Hadhramaut Governorate, eastern Yemen.
Informed sources said that units of the transitional forces and the Hadhrami elite were deployed in several desert areas overlooking the city of Sayun, where the camps of the First Military District affiliated with Islah and supported by Saudi Arabia are stationed.
The UAE has continued its military movements in Hadramaut recently, as part of moves to penetrate the oil plateau areas and obstruct the ongoing negotiations between Sanaa and Riyadh.
The developments come at a time when Saudi Arabia has begun dispatching the National Shield Forces to the valley and the desert in preparation for establishing field control over the governorate, as an alternative to the Transitional Council factions.
