The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned two bombings in Pakistan, which targeted two mosques during the Prophet’s birthday anniversary celebrations and resulted in the killing and wounding of dozens of citizens.
The ministry affirmed in a statement that such criminal acts were part of a plan to target Islam and the nation’s adherence to its religion and Prophet, which poses a threat to dark forces projects. The Ministry reaffirmed Yemen’s firm position against extremism and terrorism, expressing condolences to the victims’ families and wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.
In turn, the Yemeni Scholars Association also condemned the bombings, calling on the nation’s scholars to condemn and reject the Takfiri Wahhabi ideology that sheds innocent people’s blood in mosques, markets, and residential neighborhoods.
Yemeni scholars emphasized the need for conscious intellectual action and presenting an attractive image of Islam to block evil advocates and seditionists, especially on the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday.
They also condemned Saudi normalization with the Zionist entity, including the reception of the Zionist Minister of Tourism in Riyadh.
On Friday, dozens were killed and dozens injured as a result of an explosion targeting those celebrating the Prophet’s birthday in the Mastung area in Balochistan province, southwestern Pakistan.
