The Shura Council condemned the suspension of Yemenia Airlines flights for passengers and patients to and from Sana’a International Airport due to pressure of the US-Saudi aggression and mercenaries.
In a statement, Monday, the Council indicated that the aggression coalition’s continued use of the humanitarian issue through its cheap tools aims to evade commitment to what was negotiated and agreed upon regarding expanding flights to Cairo and India.
It pointed out that Sanaa International Airport is the main airport of Yemen, and the continued restriction of flights to and from it has caused thousands of patients to die.
The Council called on the international community and the UN Security Council responsible for not remaining silent about all the violations and crimes committed by the aggression coalition led by Saudi Arabia and its mercenaries against the Yemeni people.
It’s worth noting that Sana’a Airport serves as a crucial lifeline for millions of Yemenis. Over the past year, the coalition of aggression has deliberately created uncertainty and instability around the airport’s status, despite the truce and de-escalation efforts.
