An officer and a soldier from the forces loyal to the Islah Party were killed as a result of an ambush set up by unknown assailants in Abyan Governorate, southern Yemen.
Sources said that two gunmen ambushed a crew belonging to the 3rd Presidential Protection Brigade, east of Modiya District, resulting in the killing of officer Saleh Al-Sulaimani and his companion, Ali Al-Fathani.
The Transitional Council media ignored the ambush in light of reports that its perpetrators belonged to the Council.
