The Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) has revealed that the Zionist entity is intending to deploy an air defense system in cooperation with the UAE on the occupied Yemeni island of Abdul Kuri.

The institute confirmed in a lengthy report, published last Saturday, that Socotra has become a joint Emirati-Israeli intelligence base since 2020, noting that Abdul Kuri Island has witnessed an increased military presence during the recent period as it is a natural guardian of Bab al-Mandab.

The report suggested the deployment of Israeli-made sensors on Abdul Kuri Island to confront “Iranian” missiles and drones, according to the report’s claims, in reference to the missiles and drones of Sanaa forces. It added that the UAE has completed the construction of the military airport in Abdul Kuri.

Experts from the Israeli Navy worked to install marine surveillance systems linked to small spy submarines in Abdul Kuri and directed them towards Bab al-Mandab and the Horn of Africa after they were brought via a private Emirati plane in 2021.
