The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced it targeted the US bases of Ain al-Assad and al-Shadadi in Iraq and Syria respectively, using appropriate weaponry.

The Resistance confirmed that both bases were directly hit.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the group emphasized that the operations against the two bases come in response to the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against the people of Gaza, as the brutal aggression on the Strip continues for the 46th consecutive day.

Fearing Resistance strikes and potential casualties, Al Mayadeen’s sources revealed on Monday that the United States is reinforcing some of its occupation bases in Syria. The sources confirmed that Washington is bringing in more weapons and equipment, primarily anti-air systems such as Avengers and THAAD, in addition to illegally deploying more troops.

These operations and their frequency have prompted Washington to take these measures, as both military bases are near the front lines with the Syrian Arab Army and its allied forces.

As per the latest data released by the Pentagon, US occupation forces in both countries have been subjected to 66 operations with the use of drones and rockets since October 17. Almost all attacks have been claimed by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq.
