China issued its strongest warning to Israel and the West about the repercussions of closing Bab al-Mandab.

The China Arabic page of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on social media warned of what it described as involvement in the largest supply crises in the world if Israel and the West continued their war on Gaza.

The page reviewed many maritime shipping companies around the world that announced the suspension of their operations in the Red Sea.

The last of these companies, according to the page, is CMI, which is the largest logistics services company in the world. The page had previously considered Sanaa’s decision to close Bab al-Mandab as putting pressure on countries supporting Israel in its war on Gaza to stop the war and lift the siege on the Strip.

Bab al-Mandab represents the most important artery in the world, as about 42% of the international trade volume passes through it
