Shabwa Governorate, southeastern Yemen, witnessed a new price increase in oil derivatives.
Local sources said that a number of gas stations in the city of Ataq and other districts closed their doors in protest against the sudden increase in the price of petroleum, as the price of a 20-liter gallon of fuel rose from 21,000 riyals to 30,000 riyals.
The people of Shabwa held the local authority loyal to the coalition responsible for the huge increase in fuel prices, considering that it was intentionally doubling the suffering of citizens.
The crisis in Shabwa comes after a similar dose imposed by Maeen’s government on the prices of oil derivatives in the city of Ma’rib.
