Health sector workers in the British capital, London, organized a silent march in protest against the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Many doctors, nurses, health care workers, and civil society representatives gathered in front of St. Thomas Hospital, holding banners bearing the names and titles of their colleagues who were martyred as a result of the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
The march, which was attended by health care professionals wearing their uniforms, included the British surgeon of Palestinian origin, Ghassan Abu Sitta, and the head of the Palestine mission in Britain, Husam Zomlot.
The march was also attended by officials from the UK-based NGO Medical Aid for the Palestinians and Doctors Without Borders. Ambassador Zomlot stated in his speech that “Israel” deliberately targeted hospitals, doctors, paramedics, ambulances and rescue teams in Gaza. He said: “This was deliberate because they know that our doctors are the lifeblood of our society. They want to make Gaza uninhabitable and dead.”
Zomlot expressed his thanks to all healthcare workers participating in the silent march in London. Since last October 14, London has witnessed demonstrations in solidarity with the Palestinian people every Saturday, denouncing the Zionist aggression against Gaza, for the tenth week.
