Clashes broke out between the Marib tribes and the Islah Party forces in Marib, northeastern Yemen.
Sources reported that clashes broke out in the vicinity of the Safer refinery between armed men from Ma’rib’s outskirts and a military force following the latter’s attempt to remove a number of locomotives loaded with oil derivatives.
The sources Added that the tribal people prevented the departure of the locomotives and forced them to return to Safer. Confirming the influx of tribes to the vicinity of the Safer refinery, to prevent any quantities from leaving the refinery.
The Presidential Leadership Council formed by Saudi Arabia had begged for a reprieve from the Marib tribes after failing to pass the (Islah) decision to raise the prices of oil derivatives to 8,000 riyals instead of 3,500 riyals.
