Pakistan intensified its military movements in the Arabian Sea, as its most prominent opponents attempted to strengthen their military presence in the strategic corridor.
The Pakistan Navy reported that it had withdrawn a warship from the Gulf of Aden. According to a press release, the ship is called “BNA Tughril”. The withdrawal of the warship coincided with Islamabad revealing the strengthening of its military presence in the Arabian Sea.
These moves come hours after India announced its intention to deploy 4 destroyers in the Arabian Sea for what it described as “providing deterrence.”
The Indian move comes after the Israeli Prime Minister called his Indian counterpart requesting support to confront the challenges faced by ships heading to the occupation ports.
The Arabian Sea is one of the passages in which the Yemeni Navy announced a ban on the activity of Israeli ships during the past weeks, and it witnessed several attacks, but Pakistan’s decision to reinforce its forces is an indication of mounting concern about India’s movements aimed at cutting off the road to the new Silk Line, the most prominent point of which is the Pakistani port of Gwadar on the Arabian Sea.
The new move, according to experts, may push towards another dimension of regional and international conflict.
