Somali pirates detain 34 Yemeni fishermen

Media sources confirmed that Somali militants seized a Yemeni fishing boat near Ras Hafun, Somalia, with 34 fishermen on board, residents of Al-Khawkhah District of Hodeidah Governorate.

The sources explained that two days ago, the boat, named Fatah Al-Khair Al-Samoud, was pirated by Somali militants who attacked the boat and attacked the sailors from Al-Khokha, near the Ras Hafun area in Somalia.

The boat was carrying 34 fishermen, of whom the pirates released 25, while nine others are still in the hands of the pirates and their fate is unknown. He appealed to the fishermen’s families to take urgent action and work to release their children and return them to Yemen.
