Transitional Council suppresses celebrations of winning the West Asian Championship

A force affiliated with the UAE-backed Transitional Council attacked a group of young men in the city of Aden, southern Yemen, while they were celebrating the junior team’s victory in the West Asian Football Championship.

Sources reported that a team belonging to the Storm Forces suppressed a festive youth march that took place in Al-Mualla District, assaulting its participants and tearing up the unity flag they were raising.

The source Added that Stormtroopers soldiers dispersed the march participants with live bullets.

Spontaneous marches took place in Sana’a and all governorates, including Aden, to celebrate the junior football team winning the West Asian Championship title, after defeating the Saudi team on penalty kicks by three goals to two. They set off fireworks and raised the unity flag to express their joy on the occasion.
