Spokesman for Yemeni government in Sana’a and member of the Higher Committee for Support of Al-Aqsa Dhaifallah al-Shami praised Djibouti’s position, in which it voiced its support for operations carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces in the Red Sea against Israeli ships or ships heading to the ports of the Zionist entity in the occupied territories.
In a statement obtained by Saba News Agency, Al-Shami said that the remarks made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Djibouti, Mahmoud Ali Yusuf, in which he stressed that his country did not condemn the operations of the Yemeni armed forces in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, because they consider them “a right relief for the Palestinians” as well as Djibouti’s reservation to participate in the US coalition to protect Israeli ships, enjoys the respect and appreciation of the Yemeni people and all the free people of the nation.
Djibouti’s position was considered a clear embodiment of support for all efforts to support our brothers in Palestine in the face of the war of extermination they are subjected to by the Zionist entity with direct American and Western support, the statement read.
Al-Shami also praised the position of South Africa, which filed a lawsuit before the International Court of Justice accusing Israel of committing genocide in Gaza.
He stressed that these honorable positions reflect the will and aspirations of all the free people around the world to support the Palestinian people.
