President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, received on Sunday a phone call from Ibrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during which they discussed developments in the region in light of the continued Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the US-British aggression against Yemen.

During the call, the Iranian President renewed his country’s condemnation of the American-British aggression against Yemen, stressing that the aggression is condemned by the free peoples at the global level.

Raisi expressed his country’s thanks and appreciation to the Yemeni leadership and people for what they are doing to defend the oppressed Palestinian people, pointing to the greatly influential and effective role Yemen plays on the Israeli enemy.

He pointed out that Yemen’s decision to protect international navigation and prevent the crossing of Israeli ships or those heading to occupied Palestine was a brave and wise decision.

Regarding the continuation of the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the Iranian President said that “after one hundred days of aggression, the victors today are the oppressed Palestinian people and their courageous resistance, despite the heinous crimes they are exposed to by the Israeli enemy entity.”

At the conclusion of the call, the Iranian President extended his greetings to the leader of the Yemeni revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and to the Yemeni government.

For his part, President Al-Mashat expressed his thanks to the Iranian President for his country’s position in condemning the American-British aggression against Yemen and the role played by the Islamic Republic of Iran in standing with the oppressed Palestinian people, who are exposed to unparalleled Zionist-American crime.

President Al-Mashat confirmed that Yemen’s position in support of Palestine comes from religious and moral responsibility, which cannot be reversed, and it is the least that can be offered.

He stressed, “If the Israeli aggression against the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza continues, this will lead to an expansion of Yemen’s operations against the Israeli enemy until the aggression and the siege imposed on Gaza are stopped.”
