Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin reminded that the UN Security Council has not authorized anyone to use force against Yemen.

Wang Wenbin said that the UN Security Council has never authorized any country to use force against Yemen.

The sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries bordering the Red Sea, including Yemen, must be properly respected.” On the same level, China’s envoy to the European Union, Fu Cong, warned that the American and British operations against Yemen “will make matters worse.”

The American “Bloomberg” agency quoted the Chinese envoy to Brussels as saying, “The attacks in Yemen are an extension of the crisis in the Gaza Strip.” He also pointed out that the American and British operations “will not maintain the safe passage of commercial ships, but rather make the passage more dangerous.”

The Chinese envoy stressed that the problem cannot be solved “with the approach followed by the United States and the United Kingdom,” and that the strategy led by Washington against Yemen is “useless.”
