Hundreds of Bahrainis took to the streets of the capital, Manama, in marches rejecting the attack launched by the United States and the United Kingdom on targets in Yemen, which came in cooperation with Bahrain and other countries, according to a statement issued by US President Joe Biden, following these attacks.

Hundreds of others came out after Friday prayers in the town of Diraz, northwest of the country, carrying banners and chanting slogans in which they affirmed their support for Yemen and their support for what they described as its position in support of the Palestinian people.

Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society said, “The attack on the Republic of Yemen and the launching of raids targeting Yemeni lands by the United States and Britain, with the support of Bahrain, reveals a crime described as having full-fledged elements of destabilizing security and stability in the region for the benefit of the Zionist enemy.”

It stressed that “the attack on the Yemeni people is rejected, condemned, and a war crime that will not change the logic of history and geography. The Yemenis will remain an essential part of this world, and they will defend themselves and their country in the face of ambitions, expansionist projects, and attempts at hegemony.”
