The Yemeni Parliament Representatives listened on Saturday to a letter from the Irish Member of the European Parliament, Mick Wallace, addressed to the Speaker of the Parliament, Yahya Ali Al-Rai.

At the beginning of his letter, Wallace expressed his happiness at receiving a letter from the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Yemen. He also expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation for the content of the message, confirming his support for the Yemeni and Palestinian peoples.

He pointed to the suffering and pain that the Yemeni people have endured as they struggled against the aggression of imperialist forces for more than nine years, praising the mass rallies and demonstrations that took place in the capital, Sanaa, and the Yemeni provinces, which expressed firm positions of solidarity and support for the people of Gaza and Palestine.

“Today the Yemenis are inspiring the world,” Irish Member of the European Parliament, Mick Wallace, said in his letter, noting the legacy of British imperialism that the Irish understand well and which continues to determine the unbearable conditions in which Palestinians, Yemenis, and many people around the world live.

Wallace indicated the unconditional Western support for Israel, which is most evident through the brutal, cowardly, and illegal attacks on Yemen by the United States and Britain.

He expressed his pride in the positions of the Yemeni people in support of the Palestinian people, stressing that the struggle of Palestine is the same struggle against Western imperialism throughout the world.

In his letter, Wallace noted the tremendous awakening witnessed in recent months in Western countries and expressed his great hope that everyone would soon see Palestine become free and prosperous and live in peace, and Yemen is a sovereign, independent, and prosperous country.
