NEW YORK, NY - DECEMBER 22: Members of the United Nations Security Council vote to impose new sanctions on North Korea on December 22, 2017 in New York City. The new sanctions include sharply cutting limits on its imports of refined oil, cracking down on the country's shipping industry and forcing all North Koreans working overseas to return home within 12 months. Russia revealed its objection to the British-American mobilization for the war on Yemen.

This coincides with American efforts to finalize a draft resolution legitimizing its aggression against Yemen.

Russia Today channel quoted diplomats saying that Russia will present an amendment to the draft US resolution that includes linking attacks on land shipping in the Red Sea to the situation in Gaza and calls for an end to hostilities in the Strip.

The Russian proposal may empty the American project of its content, according to experts, and limit Washington’s efforts to expand the conflict regionally.
