Sanaa’s Criminal Court approves death penalty for 11 convicts

The Specialized Criminal Court in Sana’a on Sunday approved the death penalty for 11 convicts, while also imprisoning 12 others for varying periods.

In the session held under the chairmanship of Judge Abdullah Muhammad Dawas, the court decided to punish ten of the convicts with capital punishment for participating in an armed gang to kill and assault people.

The court also ruled 15 years imprisonment for three of the convicts, ten years imprisonment for five convicts, and five years imprisonment for four starting from the date of their arrest.
