The Speaker of the Yemeni Parliament, Yahya Ali Al-Rai, sent on Sunday letters to the heads of parliaments of a number of countries in which he explained the Yemeni position on the suspicious American movements in the Red Sea.

The Parliament Speaker warned against homogenization with the American-British coalition to militarize the Red Sea.

The letters refuted the content of the joint statement issued by the coalition, which included misleading public opinion, deceiving countries, and a suspicious American role.

In letters addressed to the heads of a number of world parliaments, the Speaker of Parliament renewed his condemnation of the fallacies and false allegations made by the 12-country coalition about threats to international navigation in the Red Sea.

Al-Rai condemned the American enemy forces’ targeting of three boats belonging to the Yemeni Navy in the territorial waters of the Republic of Yemen while they were performing their tasks and duties in protecting Yemeni sovereignty and the security of navigation in the Red Sea.

He affirmed Sanaa’s commitment to security and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and Bab al-Mandab Strait, except for Israeli ships and those heading to occupied Palestinian territories, until crossings are opened for water, food, and medicine to Gaza people.

The messages emphasized the right of Yemeni and Arab peoples to support Palestinians facing ethnic cleansing, genocide, and siege by the Zionist occupying entity, with the support of America, Britain, and European countries.

The Speaker of Parliament expressed hope that parliament heads and members will pressure their countries’ governments to withdraw from “the aggressor coalition, which Yemen will undoubtedly respond to, regardless of the cost.”
