The Yemeni Media Union (YMU) condemned the recent attack on Palestinian journalists by the Zionist forces, resulting in the death of two journalists in western Khan Younis, Palestine.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the YMU emphasized that the continued targeting of journalists in Palestine demonstrates the deliberate and direct intentions of the Israeli forces to harm them. It highlighted that this incident isn’t the first of its kind, illustrating a pattern of attacks on journalists in areas considered safe, away from military zones or conflict areas.

The union pointed out that these attacks on journalists serve the Zionist agenda to conceal the atrocities committed against the people of Gaza and Palestine.

Offering condolences to the families of the slain journalists, the YMU urged all concerned organizations and international bodies advocating for freedom of expression to stand in solidarity with journalists and media personnel in Gaza.

Furthermore, it called for the condemnation and pursuit of the Israeli forces through international courts, in line with laws protecting the rights and freedom of expression of journalists and media personnel working in conflict zones.
