China renewed its firm position on Yemeni operations in the Red Sea.

This coincides with Western pressure to intervene in the crisis that their battleships failed to contain.

The Chinese Foreign Minister stressed during his speech on the sidelines of the Munich conference hosted by Germany that addressing the Red Sea issue requires solving its root cause, which is the continuation of the war on Gaza.

The Chinese minister’s statements come a day after the British Foreign Office revealed a meeting between Minister David Cameron and his Chinese counterpart to discuss developments in the Red Sea.

The ministry indicated that Cameron called on China to exert all its influence to stop the operations of what he described as the “Houthis.”

China believes, according to the statements of its officials, that the Yemeni operations in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden are a natural reflection of the Israeli war on Gaza, and it considers ending the war and lifting the siege as a reduction of escalation in the region.
