Al-Mayadeen reported, citing its sources in the city of Aleppo, that a suicide drone targeted the American base in Koniko gas field in Deir ez-Zor countryside, eastern Syria.
It confirmed that the drone reached its goal as a strong explosion was heard in the area surrounding the American base.
In the same context, CNN correspondent at the US Defense Department Haley Britsky revealed on February 7th that the ongoing attacks since October 7th, 2023 against US forces in Iraq and Syria have caused the death of three soldiers and the injury of about 143 others, among them were two very serious injuries.
Haley said that nine had serious injuries, and 132 non-serious injuries.
