The Yemeni embassy in Cairo confirmed the assassination of a prominent military leader loyal to the Islah Party in his apartment in the Egyptian capital.
This came in an official statement from the embassy commenting on the killing of Major General Hassan bin Jalal Al-Obaidi, who was found murdered in his apartment in Cairo.
The embassy stated that it was following up with the Egyptian security authorities to find out the circumstances of the incident.
While activists spoke of the involvement of an intelligence agency affiliated with one of the coalition countries in carrying out the assassination of Major General Al-Obaidi, and that it was part of a series of previous liquidations carried out by the UAE in Aden.
