Transport Minister Abdulwahab Al-Durrah has affirmed that maritime navigation in the Red Sea faces no threats from Yemen.

Al-Durrah clarified that the slight decline in ship traffic through the Red Sea and the Suez Canal is due to the increased presence of US and UK military forces in the region, not any actions taken by Yemen.

He underscored that Yemen’s decision to bar Israeli ships from transiting the Red Sea has been unequivocal since its announcement in November. The inclusion of US and UK vessels in this decision followed their aggression against Yemen.

Al-Durrah reiterated Yemen’s right to retaliate against the ongoing US-UK aggression while emphasizing Yemen’s commitment to its humanitarian and moral stance alongside Gaza by preventing the passage of Israeli vessels.
