President of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly Dennis Francis has warned that the people of Gaza are “on the verge of a new humanitarian catastrophe” due to the attacks by the Zionist enemy army on the city of Rafah, which is crowded with displaced Palestinians.

In a tweet on X, Francis expressed his “deep concern about the escalation of Zionist attacks in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.”

Francis pointed out that more than a million people have taken refuge in Rafah in very bad conditions, where Zionist military operations are taking place.

He pointed out that a new humanitarian catastrophe in the region was imminent, adding “This is not the path to sustainable peace.”

Earlier last Sunday, the Zionist Broadcasting Corporation officially said the Zionist army approved an operational plan to launch a ground operation in Rafah.
