Yemen’s Shura Council strongly denounced the airstrikes conducted by the United States and United Kingdom on Friday targeting the capital Sana’a and several provinces.

In a statement, the Council denounced this attack as a flagrant violation of international law and an encroachment on the sovereignty of Yemen and its territories.

It emphasized that the actions of the aggression will not dissuade the Yemeni people from extending all forms of support and assistance to the Palestinians, who are enduring a dire conflict with direct support from the US and UK.

The Council reiterated its backing for all measures taken by the Revolutionary Leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the Armed Forces to deter any infringement on Yemen’s sovereignty.

It commended the massive gatherings that have persisted in squares for over five months in response to the calls of Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, demonstrating solidarity with the Palestinians.

The Shura Council affirmed that the solidarity of the Yemeni people, leadership, government, and citizens with Palestine is an established religious and humanitarian obligation that will continue until the aggression and unjust blockade on the Gaza Strip are lifted.
