The Supreme Political Council convened in its Thursday session, chaired by President Mehdi al-Mashat, to discuss local, regional, and international developments.

During the meeting, the Council lauded the military operations carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces in defense of Palestine, commending their ongoing advancements, particularly in air and sea operations. This commendation comes amidst the holy month of Ramadan, during which the Palestinian people in Gaza face grave atrocities by the Zionist regime.

Furthermore, the Council condemned US attempts to breach Yemen’s naval blockade against ships bound for occupied Palestinian ports via the Bab el-Mandeb and the Strait of Hormuz. It deemed these endeavors futile, echoing the failures of American and British airstrikes on Yemen, and reaffirmed Yemen’s steadfast support for Palestine until liberation is achieved.

President Mashat briefed the Council on external communications, highlighting political challenges and US attempts to exploit this issue to deter Yemen’s support for Palestine.

The Council emphasized the importance of responding to Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi’s call for massive Friday marches in solidarity with Palestine.
