UAE authorities release 7 Yemenis, some are “traders”

The UAE authorities released seven Yemeni detainees along with a number of other  nationalities.

Human rights sources said that the UAE authorities responded to demands and pressure from international organizations and Interpol to release the detainees.

The sources explained that some of the detainees were detained for more than two years without being brought to trial, and that the arrests took place at separate intervals and on different charges and cases.

It pointed out that some of the Yemeni detainees were working in the field of trade, and that the release came after reconsidering the charges against them.
