The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor on Thursday criticized the Zionist army for persistently militarizing civil objects and altering schools and educational facilities into military bases, in blatant violation of the international law and war rules.
In addition to its systematical destruction of schools and targeting and committing serious crimes against people displaced therein, the Israeli army used some schools as bases for its troops to position in and centers to detain, enquire and torture civilians, the Monitor added in a statement.
Since 7 October 2023, the Israeli army damaged 80 percent of Gaza schools, totally or partially, the statement read.
