The ‘Islamic Council’ (CFCM) in France on Sunday announced in a statement that a mosque in the city of Annecy, southeastern France, was subjected to an unknown racist attack.
The Council said in a statement published on its account on the X platform that “anti-Islamic statements were written on the wall of the mosque belonging to the National Vision Organization of the Islamic Community in Annecy.”
In its post, the Council condemned the attack on the mosque and sent a message of solidarity with the mosque administration and those responsible for it.
An investigation was opened into the incident.
