The Supreme Political Council in Sana’a on Saturday threatened the United States of America with a firm and deterrent response to its military and economic escalation against Yemen.
In its meeting, the Council affirmed that “the Yemeni people will not stand idly by in the face of the US-British targeting of the people and their capabilities.”
“The recent American-British-Zionist aggression that targeted civilian objects and led to the death and injury of dozens of civilians in several Yemeni provinces will not go unpunished,” the council added.
The Council noted the steadfastness of the Republic of Yemen in its support and assistance to the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza by all available means until the aggression stops and the siege is over.
It called on all free people in the world to condemn the American-British aggression against Yemen, considering that this unjustified aggression constitutes an aggression against international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
The Council indicated that the momentum of the fourth phase is continuing to increase and that “it is better for the Americans and the British to stop the Zionist massacres in Rafah and the entire Gaza Strip.”
It appreciated the operations of the Yemeni armed forces, the latest of which was the targeting of the American aircraft carrier “Eisenhower” in the Red Sea.
The Council affirmed its support for all leadership decisions in the face of the American-British-Zionist escalation and saluted all the free people of the world who rejected the Zionist-American aggression against Gaza, led by the Mujahideen in Gaza and the support fronts in Iraq and Lebanon.
On the economic level, the Supreme Political Council confirmed that the American escalation of its economic war on Yemen would fail and ‘the Saudis must distance themselves from involvement in what America dictates in support of Israel.”
The Council called on all local and foreign financial institutions and individuals to fully comply with the instructions of the Central Bank of Yemen in Sanaa and implement its decisions.
It considered that the position issued by Aden’s central bank, which is run by Saudi-led coalition tools, comes in the context of pressure on Yemen to dissuade it from its positions in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and comes within the framework of American support for the occupying entity.
The Council assured all the Yemeni people that it has a package of options and measures that would thwart all economic conspiracies of enemies targeting Yemeni people in their daily livelihood.
In this regard, the Supreme Political Council praised the positive efforts of financial institutions in Sana’a to protect the economy, noting the role of national banks and the prominent private sector, which stands alongside the nation in confronting and thwarting all conspiracies.
