Yemen’s Ministry of Human Rights and Local Authority in Hodeidah, along with the Eye of Humanity Center, held a joint press conference on Monday in front of the ruins of Hodeidah Radio, which was targeted by US-British aggression a few days ago.

Minister of Human Rights Ali Al-Dailami stated that the destruction of the radio building reveals the falsehood of the slogans supported by Washington and London regarding freedom of expression and the protection of journalists. He condemned the targeting as an attempt to obscure the genocide in Gaza and Rafah.

Al-Dailami called the bombing a war crime that violated international laws and treaties, warning that the US and UK would bear the consequences. He urged the UN and human rights organizations to condemn the deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure. He stressed that these actions are evidence of the US administration’s role as a primary sponsor of terrorism, violating international laws and committing massacres.

The governor of Hodeidah, Mohammed Ayash Qahim, stated that targeting civilian objects, including Hodeidah radio, is a war crime. He affirmed that such actions will not deter the province’s residents but will increase their resilience.

The Deputy Governor for Culture and Media Affairs, Ali Qashr, clarified that targeting the radio station represents an attack on journalists, media professionals, and the voice of truth. It is an attempt to conceal the truth and deprive citizens of access to news, and information about the crimes of the American, British, and Zionist aggression.

Ahmed Abu Hamra, head of the Eye of Humanity center, reported that Hodeidah is one of the most affected provinces and has documented 700 American crimes against Yemenis. He called on international organizations to condemn these crimes and hold the perpetrators accountable.

On Thursday night, the US and UK launched airstrikes on Sana’a, Hodeidah, and Taiz, resulting in 16 martyrs and 35 wounded. The aggression aircraft targeted several areas in Sana’a and Hodeidah, causing significant casualties and damage.

These airstrikes are seen as a violation of Yemeni sovereignty and an attempt to deter Yemen from supporting Palestine. The Yemeni Armed Forces have vowed to continue retaliatory strikes, compelling major shipping and oil companies to suspend their voyages to the ports of the Zionist enemy.
