The United Nations confirmed that 150,000 people were displaced from the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, in just one day.

United Nations spokesman Stephane Dujarric explained, in his statements, that 150,000 people were forced to flee from Khan Yunis the day before Monday towards areas where there is no infrastructure, without taking with them any items or belongings, after the Israeli occupation army issued orders for immediate evacuation.

The United Nations spokesman added that evacuation orders “turn people’s lives upside down,” noting that the time limit given by the occupation to Palestinian citizens to evacuate after issuing the orders is very short, as leaflets are sent shortly before the attack, which increases the risks to people’s lives.

For its part, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs confirmed that more civilians fled some areas in Khan Yunis, following an evacuation order issued by the occupation authorities and the subsequent intensification of bombing, noting that some of the areas affected by evacuation orders have health care centers and dozens of points. To distribute food and provide meals, all of which have stopped working.
