The Hadramout Tribal Alliance threatened to control the oil fields and oil reserves in Masila and the port of Dabba.
The Hadramout Tribal Alliance gave the pro-coalition government 48 hours in an expanded meeting to implement its demands centered around a “real and effective partnership” regarding the oil reserves in the port of Dabba and Masila.
The tribal alliance considered oil “a right of the governorate, and we will not give it up,” according to a statement from the extraordinary meeting of the alliance’s leaders and symbols.
The Hadramout Tribal Alliance had called for the meeting on Wednesday, after the arrival of the Presidential Council Chairman Rashad Al-Alimi to Mukalla on a visit to Hadramout.
