Shabwah Governor Awad Al-Awlaki confirmed that the economic escalation campaign adopted by the Saudi-backed government, under American direction, is a result of Yemen’s supportive stance towards the Palestinian people.
Governor Al-Awlaki explained in a statement to Yemen News Agency (SABA), that Yemenis understand that the American enemy is disturbed by Yemen’s participation, along with the resistance axis countries, in the “Al-Aqsa Storm” battle to support the Palestinian people and their just cause.
He said, “When the American enemy failed militarily, it began exerting economic pressure and tasked Saudi Arabia with implementing measures and an economic blockade on the Yemeni people.”
Al-Awlaki clarified that Yemenis also understand the malicious goals of the economic escalation and attempts to incite war among Yemenis.
He referred to the speech by Sayyid Abdul-Malik al-Houthi on the occasion of the new Hijri year, in which he stated that the war waged by America against Yemen is not only military but also economic, political, and social, as a retaliatory measure against Yemen’s honorable stance with the Palestinian people and their resistance.
Al-Awlaki stated that the reality is that the highest revolutionary, political, and military leadership is well aware of the tricks of the US-Saudi aggression. The enemy does not realize that the Yemeni people will not respond to the aggression by destroying the country but will respond directly, as they did with America, Britain, and Israel during support of Gaza, despite the Yemeni Armed Forces’ ability to paralyze life in the occupied southern provinces and target ports and airports.
He called on the people of Yemen not to tolerate the traitors of the homeland, affirming his full support for the steps directed by Sayyid Abdul-Malik in this regard, on all political, economic, and military fronts to counter the US-Saudi aggression on our country.
