Washington is unsure of its strategy toward Yemen after military and diplomatic efforts have failed to yield any results, an American news site reported on Monday.
The War on the Rocks highlighted that the US faces a stalemate with Yemen. Military escalation has not stopped Yemenis from targeting Zionist ships or launching attacks on Israel, and diplomacy has not succeeded in restraining them either.
The report added that intensifying the use of force will strengthen the Yemenis’ regional legitimacy. At the same time, it will draw the United States further into a conflict it cannot win.
Given the hazards that the Red Sea crisis poses, the report added, this issue should be a priority in U.S. talks with China
“For Washington, though, the stakes are high — avoiding the trap in which Yemen turns into the motel where you can check in, but you can’t check out,” the War on the Rocks advised the White House.
It explained that it is essential for the US to convince Israel to maintain a defensive stance in the face of further Yemeni operations and to avoid carrying out renewed retaliatory attacks.
It called on America to avoid starting a battle it cannot finish, given the natural advantages enjoyed by the Yemenis, their relative immunity to air strikes, and their firm control over their political destiny.
In a Thursday speech, Sayyed Abdulmalik stated that the US failed to prevent Red Sea operations, as noted in a secret message from the US Middle East commander to the Secretary of Defense. An American researcher mentioned the “Guardian of Prosperity” operation’s failure.
He remarked that Israeli media expressed concerns over threats, acknowledging Ansarullah’s manpower and military skills. He emphasized the role of the Yemeni people and Armed Forces in supporting Palestinians.
The Yafa operation and its impact were widely covered by Israeli, American, and British media. Yemen’s success in deploying a drone to central Tel Aviv was seen as a major failure of Israeli air defenses. Israelis recognize the Yemeni army’s resolve and consider them an “unusual enemy” not easily deterred.
The leader affirmed that the free people of the nation have created a new equation, escalating support for Gaza, with ongoing movements in media, boycotts of American and Israeli goods, and demonstrations in Morocco, Jordan, and Western countries this week.
