Women’s cultural event commemorates Al-Walaya Day in capital Sana’a

The General Administration for Women’s Development in the Capital Sana’a on Monday organized a cultural event on the anniversary of the  Al-Walaya Day,on which Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib was openly declared by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to be his mawla.

In the event, Director of the Empowerment Department, Huda al-Marwani stressed the importance of commemorating the Day of Guardianship to emphasize the guardianship of God, His Messenger, and Imam Ali, peace be upon him, and hostility to their enemies.

Al-Marwani blessed the great victories in targeting American, Israeli, and British ships, and the victories of the security services in arresting the American and Israeli spy cell, and thwarting all plans targeting the homeland.

For her part, cultural activist Mervat al-Sawari pointed out that commemorating the Day of Guardianship is an important station in the history of the Islamic nation to gain from the principles, values, morals, and courage of Imam Ali, peace be upon him.

She denounced the crimes of genocide committed by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, noting the positions of the Yemeni people in support of the Palestinian cause.
